M. Night Shyamalan's "The Happening"?

I've seen previews for this film and it looks promising. I enjoyed The Sixth Sense and Signs and to a lesser extent I thought Unbreakable was a decent film. Shyamalan's latest offerings The Village and Lady in the Water left much to be desired. So here are my questions, will "The Happening exceed expectations? Do you think Shyamalan is a "one trick pony" director who relies on the same scare tactics and gimmics in his films? In my opinion I think Shyamalans seems to rely on the same gimmics in his film and it's getting a bit tried. What do you guys think?
