HELPPP!!!! SHOWBIZ 1880-1910?

Most of the information I need revolves around circus acts/vaudeville/personal info about the Ringling Bros. What did the acts involve in particular? (Contortionists, fortune tellers, dancers -- what kind of dance? -- anything more interesting than tight ropes.) What was considered scandalous back then? Did young girls take things such as gymnastics or ballet? Really any information you could provide would be much appreciated. Pictures and website links are great as well. Any personal accounts (diaries, journals, etc.) of the circus/showbiz during this time era would be perfect! Thank you!
