Biking. Could we make it?

All the things you mentioned point to no. At this point I would imagine it'd be a pretty miserable trip for you. I would hold off until you're a more experienced rider, and definitely not ride with your family. It'll be more fun making the trip with your friends, especially since they're more likely to be closer in ability.
