If you take half of an ecstasy tablet, will you feel half the effects of taking a whole one?

I was just wondering because I took half of an ecstasy pill and it didn't feel that ecstatic at all, it kinda felt like a kind of noticeable marijuana high. If I take a whole one, will it feel like everyone says it is supposed to feel like (empathetic, loving, euphoric, etc.)?
