Is $2000 for a 1991 Mercedes Benz 300ce a good price?

The guy is listing at $2000. I was thinking about offering him $1500 for it after I get it checked with my import mechanic. The car is in fair condition, mostly cosmetic problems. 155,000 miles. Engine starts and runs good. And good tires. I know what kbb says and I believe it's too high for what they're quoting. I want an opinion from someone who KNOWS about Mercedes Benz prices.
