When can I wear my Air Force Achievement Medal?

I was awarded my Air Force Achievement Medal, 2nd Oak Leaf Cluster, but it has yet to be presented, due to unforeseen cirstances. Do I have to wait for the presentation before I can wear it, or can I put it on now. There is a plan to present it to me next week, but I am not sure if I should have it on before the event. vMPF already shows it on my Dec's.
